The mission of GFC is to produce such quality product which provide entire satisfaction to all our customer the world over

Vision.
We believe that we have a unique product which has been developed by GFC and no other country manufactures a pedestal fan like ours. This product is most useful in the hot tropical humid climates. We want to mark this product throughout the world and we foresee this product to dominate the entire International market. We want to set up an excellent after-sales-service and spare parts supply service to each and every country. We also want to set up home service centers throughout the world. We believe that within 10 years we can achieve an export target of US Dollars 40 Million.

HAJI MUHAMMAD ILYAS
In 1954, a small name appeared on the horizon of the fan manufacturing industry in Pakistan. This small star was General Fan Company. G.F.C began to grow due to its quality, which makes the G.F.C one of the leading manufacturer and exporter of fans in Pakistan today.
To produce excellent quality products G.F.C uses the most modern/high tech machinery like Capstan & Turret Lathes, Progressing Stamping presses, Die Casting Machines, Injection Molding Machines, Automatic Armature Winding Machines, CNC Wire Cut Machines, Spark Erosion Machines and Ovens Containing Conveyers for drying Stove Paint.

With all this latest machinery G.F.C. decided to increase its' product line by manufacturing premium quality Washing machines & Desert Coolers. That's why G.F.C. enjoys the confidence of millions of highly satisfied customers not Only in Pakistan but also in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Yemen, UAE., Sudan, Ghana, West Indies, Djibouti, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Kenya, Cameroon, Afghanistan, and all other Gulf Countries. G.F.C. installed copper wire manufacturing unit in 1988. G.F.C. is also manufacturing its Own capacitors. G.F.C. were the pioneers in export of fans from Pakistan. Mr Nabeel Ilyas contnues to coduct both domestic and international sales and distribution activeites, participating in trade exhibition around the world to bring more and more countries under the GFC banner.

Mr. Nazim Ijaz who graduated from Canada in Finance, Ensuring that best quality and energy efficient material is procured and used in GFC Fans products.


4)MOBIN ILYAS

The Production Team at GFC is led by a dynamic mechanical engineer. Mr Mobin Ilyas. from  Universtiy of Waterloo Canada. Mr Mobin continues to upgrade the production methods at GFC to maintain quality, improve energy efficiency and stay at par with technologically advanced countries.

GFC Fans is one of the largest manufacturers of quality electric fans in Pakistan.  GFC, under the leadership of Mr. Mohammad Ilyas, its CEO, has also been the pioneer in the expert of electric fans from Pakistan. Starting with its first commercial export in 1993, with a modest quantity & value, GFC is now exporting its products to the tune of US$ 12 million annually to more than 30 countries in the World. GFC fans became an instant success due to their quality and durability in all the markets share these were introduced including countries in Asia, Middle East, Africa & Europe.

GFC became the first electric fan manufacturing company to win Export Trophy Award in Pakistan. Now, GFC has won its 12th Export Trophy Award. GFC also became the first ever company in Pakistan that is certified by UL (Underwriter Laboratories, USA) to export fans in USA and Canada. It is also the first fan manufacturing company to be awarded BRAND OF YEAR AWARD in 2007.

industry in Pakistan. The Plant & Machinery installed in GFC are at per those installed in manufacturing industries in technologically advanced countries like china, Taiwan, Vietnam etc.

Keeping in mind the acute power shortage in Pakistan and other developing countries where GFC Fans are sold, GFC has been concentrating on the production of energy saving fans for the last twenty years. Special raw material for energy saving fans being used include electrical copper wire (produced at GFC’s own
Wire Drawing Plant since 1987), high quality ball bearings fan blades made on most modern plants/machinery with highly qualified labour force.

The un-precedent success GFC have achieved during the last 30 years is being recognized as best quality fan manufacturer not only in Pakistan but also in Kingdome of Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Yemen, Senegal, Djibouti, Bangladesh, Iraq, UAE, Cameroon and many other countries. The GFC brand is also registered in many countries. GFC can take pride by the fact that many Chines Manufacturers are now copying these models originally introduced by us like ‘Nabeel’’ Model. Models like the Nabeel Model have received such international recognition, that now other companies use the model name to market their copies.
There are some reports that some Chinese & Bangladeshi manufacturers are also manufacturing fake GFC fans due to the popularity and high demands of our fans around the world. GFC fans are designed manufactured to give heavy duty service and long time performance and meet customers need in hot and humid climatic conditions not only in Pakistan but also for many other countries. Due to their service, high quality long life in difficult environments, GFC have become Popular in a very short time.

In spite of achieving such phenomenal success, GFC’s organization culture led by its directors, stresses on meeting new challenges and reaching new heights.

in 1968, having 43 years of work experience of not only working in the Pakistani manufacturing sector but also periodically getting trained and educated in Germany and USA.

 


Credentials
General Fan Company (Pvt.) Ltd. is a pioneer in the export of electric fans from Pakistan. To initiate the export from Pakistan we participated in International exhibition for electrical appliances in 1993 in Abu-Dhabi. The company also participated in many trade delegations as well as exhibitions arranged by Export Promotion Bureau and Federation of Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Bangladesh, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Bahrain, Qatar, Sudan, Egypt, U.S.A. etc. G.F.C. was the first Pakistani company to export fans to the Middle-East. G.F.C. Fans became an instant success due to their quality and durability in all the markets where these were introduced.
By the grace of God,
·         G.F.C. has been getting the Export Trophy from FPCCI for the export of electric fans for many years. The growth rate of fan export from G.F.C. has been continuously more than 100% per annum for the last 5 years.1/3rd of the total fans exported from Pakistan
·         G.F.C. Fans. G.F.C. has large International orders many times more than the previous years for the financial year 2001-2002 and we are looking forward to export fans to all parts of the world including United States and Europe.
·         Water and Power development authority has issued the renewal of Registration in 1997. Registration Renewal is an honorable success that G.F.C. has achieved.
·         ISO-9002 Certificate assures that Manufacturing Quality of Electric Fans is according to International Standards.
·         Engineer in Chief Branch has given the certificate of Enlistment/Registration dated: 23-2-2000 on best technical performance.
·         Contract agreement for supply of G.F.C. Fans for "Army Housing Directorate" at 30 April 2001 and is a big achievement for G.F.C. Fans.

·         Pakistan Standard Institution has certified according to 1961 ordinance. The institution hereby grants to G.F.C. Fans. (Hereinafter called "the License") this License is used as standard mark.

Number of units in Pakistan
There are now over five hundred fan manufacturing units operating in Gujrat, Lahore and few other cities. These small from the real back bone of the industry. They provide employment to a large number of people and all put together account of more than 90 percent of  the domestic market. GFC fans is on the top of the list in product and quality products at the moment.
Cultural Environment
The cultures of the different areas may affects the GFC fans products and sales. In euroup the culture are different they mostly use the fancy type of fans which through a low air but looks nice when they are instilled in to the room, because they do not need high speed fans due to their cold temperature, but in some areas like Bangladesh, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Africa etc they need the products with high speed and better quality.
At some place people only likes to install the split units instead of electric fan because they need cooling instead of fan air.
So, the cultures and the environment will defiantly affect the sale and service of the GFC fans butt they can not change them but only in one way where they can
make change they have to make their products which fulfils the demand of that specific culture in that way they can produce the required results.

Technology
The new technology is a threat for GFC fans and all the other factors as well because in the market a product is based on the technology if some body introduced the new technology for fans then GDC fans also have to purchase that kind a technology to meet the demands of their buyers.
A new technology can be very useful for them because in the improvement in the technology the quality of the product will increases and cost will decreases.
So, technology plays very important role in the success of industry if GFC use the technology that other firms do not have then defiantly their demand will increase.

General Fan company(PVT) Ltd. Is a pioneer in the export of electric fans from Pakistan. The economic position of the electrical fan market is worse the prices of the raw material is disturbing the whole economic chart of the GFC fan. The price of the essential raw material used in production fluctuates in the reign of prime minister Nawaz Sharif industries grows a lot because he was also a industrialist he know the problems of industries and other hurdles. He really supports the industry. He give great important to this sector because no doubt this sector is mostly GFC fan is the great represented of the Pakistan in the international market they are effected for the economy of Pakistan.

  1)    Purchase Department
This department give order to other companies for raw materials according to inventory department. When raw material reached in factory then they pay the according to order.

  2)    Quality Department
When raw material reached in factory then this department check the quality of raw material. If the raw material is according to order then they accept other wise reject and send back to company.

  3)    Inventory Department
All the raw material order by inventory department. They enter the raw material quantity in their software according to their need.


  4)    Production Department
This department produce the goods according to order. For example a company A order 1500 fans on 1st jan and give delivery date 1st march and another company B order 1000 fans on 5th jan and give delivery date  15 sep then production department firstly fulfill the order of company B and then Company A.

  5)    Finished  Good Department
All finished good store in this department and they deliver the good to company according to order.

  6)    Sale Office
This department make the exit pas for delivery of good.

  7)    Account Department
All record of purchase and selling even a single thing save in this department.

Process Between Raw Material to Finished Good
Step 1
Inventory department give order of raw material in your software.


Step 2
Purchases department check the order and contact to inventory department for confirmation of order and after the confirmation then give order to company for raw material
Step 3
When raw material reached in factory then Quality department receive and check the all raw material if all material is according to requirement then accept otherwise reject the raw material and sent back to company.
Step 4
After receiving the material it send to production department and produce goods according to order after produce the goods then all goods send to finished good department.
Step 5
When goods came in to the finished department then this department deliver goods to companies according to order.
